640-acre mountain hunting property north of Cedaredge is bordered by BLM and National Forest lands. The terrain is mostly pinyon-juniper forest, which provides excellent bedding cover for the numerous elk in the area, as well as an 18-acre irrigated food plot planted in grain and alfalfa. A small stream runs through the property and provides early irrigation water. Historically this property has produced excellent bull elk scoring over 300 B&C, with the ability to take several bulls a year in Colorado GMU 411. It also produces quite a few landowner mule deer tags, which are often hard to come by. The property has a nice horse pasture area and camp location, where you can saddle up in the morning to ride the numerous trails that have been cut through the property. The year-round stream provides a water source for big game and livestock, and two hunting blinds offer a comfortable place to hang out and wait for the elk to emerge. The expanse of terrain is vast and wide-reaching, granting access to thousands of acres of public lands.
